Assistive technology ideas, research, and development can take on different forms, and encompass commercial products, clinical standards and guidelines as well as freeware. So wherever you are in the process, the IMPACT Center can assist you on your journey.
MOOC (massive open online course), hosted on the Coursera Platform, “idea 2 IMPACT (i2I): Translating Assistive Health Technologies and Other Products.” (provides foundational content for taking an idea step by step through the translational process to maximize impact in the intended audience. MOOC is open to all.)
IMPACT Boot Camp - contains the same content as MOOC i2I and provides mentoring and live recitations for each participating team. An application is required.
IMPACT Start Up - provide guidances in the ATTT process and serve as a canvas for AT teams being enrolled in NSF and related programs. Training will focus on the Customer Discovery process.
IMPACT Accelerate - grantees will work with consultants trained to translate their skills from cutting-edge academic research to real-world business solutions. Consultants will support a grantee with a customized scope of work to get their ideas or business through the next phase of development.
Readiness Assessment Tool - helps AT innovator/researchers evaluate the promise of their technology and guide mentors’ advice (PDF)

The Management System is used to produce annual reports on successful technology transfer rates, as well as developing and expanding research-based models and approaches for transferring AT products to the marketplace.
