What motivated you to start Steadiwear Inc.?
The founders are highly complementary and passionate about revolutionizing the tremor space.
Mark has a background in structural engineering and entrepreneurship while Emile’s background is in marketing and management.
After being introduced as neighbors in 2014, the founders discovered that both their families suffer from tremors. A sense of compassion has united them and fueled their resolve to change the game for Essential tremor sufferers by developing groundbreaking tremor stabilization technology.

What challenges is the business/market facing?
As a medical hardware company, the main challenge we are currently facing is the completion of our first production cycle.
Undergoing all iterations from advanced prototype to market ready product with our manufacturing partner is technically challenging and capital intensive. We are currently ensuring that the Steadi-Two meets the highest standards of quality.

What opportunities is the business/market facing?
The tremor industry is non-consolidated. There are a variety of available solutions to tremor patients none of which
are satisfactory.
-Prescribed medications were never designed for Essential tremor and have
a wide array of negative side effects.
-Invasive brain surgeries such as DBS that are effective but risky.
-weighted objects that cause wrist strain and smart utensils that are limited to 1 task.

There is a significant gap in the tremor market which creates a major opportunity: The commercialization of a device that is lightweight, compact, affordable
and can target all tremor activities.

What advice do you have for others looking to start a business?
Great companies are built around great products. The best investment you can make in your business as a founder
is to understand your customer. Build a checklist of very specific user requirements through user interviews and
have your entire team work around that. This will ensure you are building a great product and therefore a great company.
